Questions people ask

Will the trimmed clip start exactly where I set it?

Yes. The video is re-encoded so the cut lands on the frame you chose, instead of jumping back to the nearest keyframe. That is why your clip starts cleanly rather than frozen or smeared for a second.

Does trimming change the format of my video?

No. A WebM stays a WebM and an MP4 stays an MP4. Use Convert video if you need a different format.

Can I trim an MP3 or other audio file?

Yes. Upload the audio file and trim it the same way. Audio is cut without re-encoding, so it keeps its original quality.

Can I use it to shorten a video for WhatsApp status?

Yes. Keep just the seconds you want, and if the file is still large, run it through Compress video afterwards.
