Which format should I pick if my video will not play?
MP4 plays almost everywhere, on phones, laptops, smart TVs and in browsers. Pick WebM only if you need it for a website.
How do I convert an iPhone MOV to MP4?
Upload the MOV file, keep MP4 selected and press Convert video. The video is saved as H.264 with AAC audio, which Windows and Android both play.
Why can't I convert a file to the format it already is?
Converting an MP4 into an MP4 changes nothing useful and often makes it bigger, so we stop and say so. Use Compress video if you want the file smaller.
Are subtitles and extra audio tracks kept?
No. The converter keeps the main video track and the first audio track. Subtitles, chapters and extra language tracks are left out so the file works in every format.
