How to PDF to PPT
Got only the PDF of a presentation and need to update a slide before your seminar or client meeting? Upload it and get a PowerPoint .pptx file back, with the text as editable text boxes you can change. The PDF needs selectable text: a scanned deck is refused with a clear explanation rather than turned into slides full of pictures.
- Upload the PDF of the presentation you want to edit.
- Press Convert to PowerPoint and wait while the pages are rebuilt as slides.
- Download the .pptx and open it in PowerPoint, Google Slides or LibreOffice Impress.
This tool runs on our servers. Your file travels over an encrypted connection and is deleted automatically 2 hours after processing.
Questions people ask
Can I edit the text after converting?
Yes. The PDF is imported as a presentation, so each page becomes its own slide and its text comes back as text you can edit. Layouts with many overlapping elements may need some tidying before you present.
Why was my PDF refused?
Most often because the pages are scans with no text layer, and we do not offer OCR yet. A password-protected PDF also needs unlocking first with Unlock PDF.
Will animations and transitions come back?
No. A PDF never stores slide animations or transitions, so there is nothing to recover. You can add them again in PowerPoint.
What happens to my file after conversion?
It is processed on our servers and deleted 2 hours after processing.
How do I turn the edited slides back into a PDF?
Once your changes are done in PowerPoint, upload the .pptx to Office to PDF and download a fresh PDF to share or print.
