PDF to Excel
Pull tables into a spreadsheet.
How to PDF to excel
Copying rows from a bank statement or a price list by hand takes forever. This tool finds the tables in your PDF and puts them into an Excel .xlsx file, with each table on its own sheet. It reads ruled lines or column spacing to separate the cells, and tells you how cleanly they came apart so you know what to double-check.
- Upload a PDF that contains tables with selectable text.
- Press Convert to Excel and let the tool look for table structure on each page.
- Download the .xlsx and check the figures in Excel or Google Sheets before you use them.
This tool runs on our servers. Your file travels over an encrypted connection and is deleted automatically 2 hours after processing.
Questions people ask
Can I convert my bank statement PDF to Excel?
Yes, if the statement was downloaded from net banking and has selectable text. A statement that was printed and scanned is only an image, and the tool will refuse it because we do not offer OCR yet.
Is there a page limit?
The tool looks for tables in up to the first 50 pages of a PDF. If your file is longer, the result says which pages were covered, so split the rest into a separate PDF and convert that too.
What happens if my PDF has no tables?
You get a clear message saying no table structure was found, not an empty spreadsheet. Plain paragraphs of text are better suited to PDF to Word.
Will the numbers be exactly right?
The result shows an accuracy score for how cleanly the cells were separated. Tables with visible grid lines usually come out best, and it is always worth checking totals against the original.
Is my statement stored anywhere?
The file is uploaded to our servers for the conversion and deleted 2 hours after processing.
