Watermark image
Add text or a logo.
How to watermark image
Put your name, shop name or a note like SAMPLE on a photo before you share it, so it is harder to reuse without credit. Type the text, place it in one of nine spots on the picture and choose how see-through it should be. The photo is processed in your browser and never uploaded.
- Add the JPG, PNG, WebP or BMP photo you want to mark.
- Type your watermark text, pick a position on the grid and set the opacity.
- Click Add watermark and download the marked image.
Runs in your browser. Your file is processed on your own device and is never uploaded to our servers.
Questions people ask
Can I use my logo as the watermark?
Yes. Switch the watermark type to Logo and choose your logo file. A PNG with a transparent background looks cleanest, and it is placed and faded with the same position and opacity controls as text.
Where can I place the watermark?
Anywhere on a three by three grid: the four corners, the middle of each edge, or the centre. A corner is less distracting, while the centre is harder to crop out.
How see-through should the watermark be?
Opacity can be set from 5% to 100%, and it starts at 35%, which is readable on most photos without hiding them. Go higher if you want it to stand out more.
Does it work on PNG images with a transparent background?
Yes. The transparent parts of the PNG stay transparent after the text is added.
Is the original photo sent anywhere?
No. The watermark is drawn in your browser and nothing is uploaded. The marked copy keeps the same format as your original, and the original file on your device is not changed.
