Compress PDF to 100KB
Make a PDF smaller without wrecking it.
How to compress PDF to 100kb
A 100 KB limit is one of the tightest you will meet, usually on form fields for a signed declaration, a caste or income certificate, or a single-page scan. Drop your PDF here and the tool compresses it to fit under 100 KB at the best quality it can, trying several settings and measuring the real result each time.
- Drop the PDF you need to upload.
- Press Compress to 100 KB and wait while it tries a few quality levels.
- Download the file and check its size on the result line before uploading.
Runs in your browser. Your file is processed on your own device and is never uploaded to our servers.
Why use this tool
Guessing at compression settings until a portal accepts the file wastes time, especially when the form times out. Here you set the limit and the tool does the trial and error: it keeps the sharpest version that still comes in under 100 KB.
100 KB is realistic for one or two scanned pages. For a longer document the text can become hard to read at that size, so if the form allows it, pull out only the pages it asks for with Extract pages first, then compress those.
If your PDF is mostly typed text or vector drawings, there may be little left to remove. In that case you get the smallest version possible and the result tells you its size, rather than a file that claims to be under 100 KB and is not.
Questions people ask
Will my PDF definitely get under 100 KB?
Usually, if it is a scan or photo of a page or two. If it cannot, the result line says the target was not reachable and shows the smallest size we managed, so you are never surprised at the upload step.
Will the text still be readable?
The tool picks the highest quality that fits. For one or two pages that is normally clear on screen. For long documents, extract only the pages you need first so each page keeps more detail.
Is my document uploaded to a server?
No. Compression runs inside your browser, so certificates and ID scans stay on your device. There is no signup either.
Can I compress a photo to 100 KB instead of a PDF?
Yes, use Compress image for JPG or PNG photos. This page is for PDF files.
What if the form needs an even smaller file?
Extract a single page first, then compress it here. Very small targets only work for simple one-page scans.
