How to HEIC to JPG

iPhones and iPads save photos as HEIC, which many Windows apps and upload forms cannot open. This tool turns an iPhone photo into a normal JPG that works everywhere. The HEIC decoder runs inside your browser, so it works on a Windows PC without extra software and your photo is never uploaded.

  1. Add one HEIC photo from your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Set the JPG quality with the slider, or leave it at the default.
  3. Click Convert to JPG and download the JPG file.

Runs in your browser. Your file is processed on your own device and is never uploaded to our servers.

Questions people ask

Why will my iPhone photo not open on Windows?

iPhones save photos in HEIC format by default, and many Windows apps and websites do not support it. Converting to JPG fixes that.

Do I need to install anything?

No. The conversion runs in your web browser, including on Windows, where browsers cannot normally show HEIC files.

My file ends in .jpg but will not open. Can this help?

Possibly. Photos copied from a phone are sometimes HEIC files with a .jpg name. The tool checks the file itself, not the name, so a real HEIC is converted whatever it is called.

What about burst shots with several pictures in one file?

The tool converts the main picture in the file into one JPG. Some burst shots and Live Photos hold extra frames, and those are not included.

Can I convert HEIC to PNG instead?

Yes, use the image converter, which accepts HEIC and can save it as PNG or WebP as well as JPG. PNG keeps every detail but makes a much bigger file.
