Questions people ask
Which aspect ratios can I use?
Free, Square (1:1), 4:3, 16:9, Story (9:16) for reels and status, and a 35 x 45 passport ratio. Free lets you drag the box to any shape.
Can I crop an image into a perfect square for a profile picture?
Yes. Choose Square and the box stays 1:1 while you move and resize it, which suits WhatsApp and Instagram profile pictures.
Is there a smallest crop?
Yes. The crop has to be at least 32 pixels on each side, so you do not end up with an unusably tiny picture.
What are the lines on the crop box?
They are rule-of-thirds guides that help you place the subject. Press T or use the guides button to turn them off.
Do you keep a copy of my photo?
No. The image is cropped in your browser and is never uploaded. The cropped copy keeps the original format, so a JPG stays a JPG and a PNG stays a PNG.
