How to HTML to image
Need a picture of an HTML page for a presentation, a portfolio or a quick share on WhatsApp? Upload the .html file and we render it in a real browser engine, then capture it as a PNG or JPG. Pick a desktop, tablet or mobile viewport to see how the page looks at that width, and capture the full scrolling page or just the first screen.
- Upload your .html file.
- Choose PNG or JPG, a desktop, tablet or mobile viewport, and full page or first screen only.
- Press Capture image and download the picture.
This tool runs on our servers. Your file travels over an encrypted connection and is deleted automatically 2 hours after processing.
Questions people ask
Should I pick PNG or JPG?
PNG is lossless, so text and sharp edges stay crisp. JPG makes a smaller file, which is handy when you need to send or upload it quickly.
What sizes can the page be rendered at?
Desktop at 1280 by 800, tablet at 768 by 1024, or mobile at 375 by 812 pixels.
Can it capture a very long page?
Yes, full-page capture follows the page to the bottom. A page taller than the browser can capture is cropped, and the result tells you when that happens.
Why is an image or font missing from the picture?
Uploaded HTML loads nothing from the internet, so images and styles must be inside the file itself. Anything linked from outside is skipped and counted in the result.
Can I take a screenshot of a live website instead?
This tool works on an uploaded .html file. To save a live public page, paste its address into URL to PDF, which prints the page to a PDF you can keep.
