How to sign PDF

Need to sign an offer letter or a rent agreement without printing and scanning it? Draw your signature with a finger or mouse, type your name, or upload a photo of your signature. Drag it into place on the page, which starts on the last page where signature blocks usually are, and save. It adds a visible signature image to the page, the digital version of signing a printout.

  1. Open the PDF you need to sign.
  2. Draw, type or upload your signature, then drag it into position on the right page.
  3. Press Save signed PDF and download the file.

Runs in your browser. Your file is processed on your own device and is never uploaded to our servers.

Questions people ask

Is this a legally binding digital signature?

No. It places a picture of your signature on the page, like signing a printed copy. It has no certificate or tamper protection, so it is not a certified digital signature.

Can I upload a photo of my signature?

Yes. Sign on white paper, take a photo, and upload it as a PNG or JPG. A clean, well-lit photo gives the neatest result.

Which page does the signature go on?

The last page by default, since that is where most documents have the signature line. You can pick any other page before saving.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. You can draw your signature with your finger on the touch screen and place it on the page.

Is my document or signature uploaded?

No. Both stay in your browser and the signed file is created on your device. The tool does not keep a copy of your signature after you leave the page.
