How to rotate PDF

Phone scans of an Aadhaar card or a signed form often come out sideways or upside down. Open the PDF, select the pages that need fixing and turn them left or right, or select all and turn the whole document. Rotation only changes how each page is displayed, so the content is not redrawn and the quality stays exactly the same.

  1. Open the PDF with the sideways or upside-down pages.
  2. Select pages and use Rotate left or Rotate right until they look correct.
  3. Press Save rotation and download the fixed PDF.

Runs in your browser. Your file is processed on your own device and is never uploaded to our servers.

Why use this tool

A sideways page is more than an annoyance: portal previews show it sideways, printers print it sideways, and whoever checks your application has to turn their head. Fixing it takes a few taps.

Rotation here is lossless. The page is told to display at a new angle, so text stays selectable and scans keep every bit of their quality, however many times you rotate.

It runs in your browser with no signup and no upload, so it works just as well for ID documents as for everyday files.

Questions people ask

Can I rotate just one page?

Yes. Turn only the pages that are wrong and leave the rest as they are. Use Select all when the whole scan is sideways.

Does rotating reduce quality?

No. The page is marked to display at a new angle and nothing inside it is re-encoded, so text and images stay exactly as sharp.

Will the rotation stay when I send the file?

Yes. The new angle is saved into the PDF itself, so it opens the right way up in any viewer, on WhatsApp, email or a portal preview.

Is my PDF uploaded to rotate it?

No. Everything happens inside your browser, and the file stays on your device.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. Tap the pages that need turning, then use the Rotate left or Rotate right buttons. The thumbnails show each page, so you can check which way it faces before you save.
