Create a PDF
A PDF looks the same on every phone, laptop and printer, which is why forms, colleges and offices ask for one. How you make it depends on what you have now. Pick your starting point below and the right converter opens, free.
- From photos or scansJPG or PNG to PDF
- From Office filesWord, Excel or PowerPoint to PDF
- From a linkWeb page to PDF

Which one should I use?
If your document is on paper, photograph each page and use JPG to PDF. It is the fastest route on a phone, and because it runs in your browser, photos of ID cards and certificates are never uploaded.
If you typed it in Word, or it is a spreadsheet or a slide deck, use Office to PDF. It keeps your fonts, tables and page breaks, and older .doc, .xls and .ppt files work too. To keep a copy of an online receipt or article, paste its address into URL to PDF.
After you have the PDF
Most upload forms have a size limit. The PDF resizer shrinks a file to a target such as 200 KB or 500 KB, and tells you honestly if a document cannot get that small. Merge PDF joins several files into one, and Reorder PDF pages fixes the page order.
Questions people ask
What is the quickest way to make a PDF from my phone?
Take photos of the pages and use JPG to PDF. Each photo becomes a page, sideways shots are turned upright, and the whole thing runs in your phone's browser with no upload and no signup.
Do I need an account to create a PDF?
Not for photos: JPG to PDF runs on your device and downloads straight away. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, web page and Markdown conversions run on our servers, so a guest signs in with a free account to download the result.
What happens to files I upload?
Files sent to our servers for conversion are deleted automatically 2 hours after processing. Photos turned into a PDF with JPG to PDF never leave your device at all.
Can I combine several PDFs once they are made?
Yes. Use Merge PDF to join them into one file in the order you choose, then Compress PDF if the result is too large for an upload form.
Is there a watermark on the PDF?
No. None of these tools adds a watermark or a logo to your document.
