Scan analytics

How often a code gets scanned, from where and on what — never who.

Finding your dynamic codes…

How to QR code tracking

Find out whether your poster, flyer or table card is actually being scanned. Scan analytics shows how many times each of your dynamic QR codes was scanned, broken down by day, device, operating system, city and country. It shows totals only, never a list of individual people, and you can export the numbers as a CSV for your reports.

  1. Sign in and open Scan analytics.
  2. Choose one of your dynamic codes and a time range.
  3. Read the charts, or export the numbers as a CSV file.

This tool runs on our servers. Your file travels over an encrypted connection and is deleted automatically 2 hours after processing.

Questions people ask

Can I track a QR code I already printed from another site?

Only codes made as dynamic codes here can be tracked, because their scans pass through our short link. A static code opens its content directly, so nobody can count those scans.

What does the report show?

Total scans, same-day repeat scans and unique visitors per day, plus breakdowns by day, device, operating system, city and country, over the last 7, 30 or 90 days or all time.

Does it show who scanned my code?

No. The report is aggregate only. There is no list of individual scans, and the visitor count is estimated per day rather than being a headcount of people.

Is QR code tracking free?

Scan analytics is a Pro feature. It works with your dynamic QR codes.

How can I use scan data for a shop or event?

Print a separate dynamic code on each poster, flyer or table card, then compare their scan counts. The one with the most scans tells you which spot or design is working.
